- RIBONUCLEIC ACID (RNA)
RNA exists in 3 forms: mRNA, rRNA, and tRNA. Rrna is found in the ribosome, tRNA is the cytoplasm while mRNA is found both in the nucleus and cytoplasm. All the forms OF RNA help DNA in protein synthesis.
STRUCTURE
-RNA is single stranded
-The pyrimidine base, thymine in DNA is replaced by uracil. The deoxyribose pentose sugar is also replaced by the ribose sugar. There is no helix.
- DIFFEERENCE BETWEEN RNA AND DNA

-Contains deoxyribom sugar
-Organic bases are ATCG
-Double strands
-Larger and longer
-Only one type
-Found mainly in the nucleus
-Insoluable
-More stable
-Permanent
-AT/CG ratio is equal
-Forms genes which code comporting synthesis
