CHAPTER III: ISOMERISM

Introduction

Isomerism is the existence of two or more compounds with the same molecular formulae but different structural formulae.

Isomers are compounds that have the same molecular formulae but different structural formulae. Isomers have the same kind and numbers of atoms but the atoms are arranged differently. Therea re fundamentally two types of isomerism which are structure and steres isomerism.
