- It has a population of about 25million inhabitants and a surface area of about 47400sq.km. the population of Cameroon is heterogeneous with over 200 districts ethnic groups.
Ethnic graphers have tried to give a broad classification of these ethnic groups in the following manner;
- The BANTUS
The are the Douala, Bassa, Ewondo, Bulus, Bakweri, Bakosi, Orok. They live in the forest and coastal region of the southern part of Cameroon.
- The SEMI-BANTUS
They are the Bamilike, Nkweh, Tikaris, and Ngie. They occupy the Bamenda, the west and adamawa plateau in the Guinea savanna belt in the central region.
