TRANSITIVE/INTRANSITIVE VERBES

      Transitive verbs are verbs that require one or move objects to make their meaning clear for example

She drove the car

I saw her in the market

He drank juice

      A like transitive verbs and intransitive verbs do not need many objects to complete his sentences.

      An intransitive verbs has many characteristics.

it is an action verb that expresses a durable activity like arrive walk, die example : I have arrived.

Exercise

      Do the exercise below, deciding whether the verb in bold are transive or intransive. Remember to know whether a verb is transitive, it answers the question’what’ or ‘whom’ use I for transitive and for intransitive.
