Chemistry is about what matter is like, how it behaves and how we explain and predict its behavior. A person who applies chemistry is called a Chemist.

There are five branches of chemistry;

• Organic chemistry
• Inorganic chemistry
• Biochemistry
• Physical chemistry
• Analytical chemistry

A chemist is a person who looks at the materials they see in the world and think about how these materials behave. They also conduct experiments to classify their nature and physical appearance either solid, liquid or gas.
