Multiplication of decimals

To multiply any two decimals:

  • Convert the decimals to fraction with the denominator as power of 10
  • Multiply the numerators and denominators separately
  • Express these products as a decimal

Example;

Find 0.248 x 0.0063

= 2481000×6310000=1562410000000= 0.0015624
