Chapter 3; Motion

Simple application of measurement
  1. Distance ;

      This is the length of a path through which an object moves. It is measured in meters (m).

                  Distance= speed x time

  1. Displacement ;

      This is the length of the path moved by an object in a particular direction. It is also measured in meters (m).

                      Displacement= velocity x time

  1. Density;

        The density of an object is the mass per unit volume of the object. To calculate density, we use the formula below;

          Density (Ƿ) = mass (m)

                                 Volume (v)

The s.i unit of density is Kg/m3.
