- Place setting: it refers to a place or area where a literary work takes place.
- Time setting: it refers to the time or period where the literary work takes place
- Historic setting: this is often the time of history when a novel, play or poem was written.
- Theme: it is main idea that runs throughout the story.

- A dynamic character: is one who changes following the nature of the play while
- A static character: is one who remains adamant to change or does not change throughout the play.
- Character trait: These are particular qualities or personalities in a character.
- Characterisation: it is used step by step in literature to highlight and explain the details about a character in a story e.g. in ‘’ Not without my wife’’. Acha is set to love.
- Protagonist: it is often the main character in a literary work. This is a character who stand at the forefront of the main stream of event they are usually refer to as hero(male)and heroine (female)
