SUMMARY OF HAMLET
Prince Hamlet has been summoned to his father funeral. One night, a ghost reveals itself to hamlet, claiming of the ghost of Hamlet’s the former king. The ghost clains that the old king was murdered by Hamlet’s uncle, Claudius, who had since married Hamlet’s mother Gertrude and assumed the throne.
Hamlet decides to uncover the truth for himself. He makes himself appeared crazy, maltreating his girl friend Ophelia, to deflect Claudius suspicion. He later convinces a troupe of actors to perform. The mother of Gonzago, a play that portrays king Hamlet death by poisoning. Claudius responds to the play is suspicious.
Hamlet spies on Claudius listening to him pray. Engaged Hamlet accidently killed Polonius Ophelia’s father. Claudius sends Hamlet to England on the pretence of his diplomatic mission having secretly arranged for the prince to be executed on arrival Hamlet clearly escaped retaining in time to witness Ophelia’s funeral. She may have killed herself.
Claudius arranges the dual between hamlet and Ophelia’s brother. During the duel, Gertrude drinks from the poison goblet intended for hamlet. Laerks and Hamlet fight, wounding each other with a poison rapier. In his last moment, Hamlet kills Claudius at last avenging his father.
The play opens on a dark night at Elsinore castle in Denmark. A couple of guards discuss an unsettling recent phenomenon a ghost resembling. Denmark newly deceased has been regularly appearing outside the castle at night. Convince that the appearance of the ghost means evil the guards resolve the late king’s son, Prince Hamlet, about the ghost of his father. Prince Hamlet has returned from his studies in Germany Wittenberg to attend his father funeral and withness his mother with marriage to his uncle; Claudius, who has now assume the throne. In addition to the recent setbacks within the royal family, Denmark is under trait fro, fortinbras, the son of the late king of Norway or no uncle,(a current king of Norway) young fortinbras has been garding troops to attack Denmark and reclaim the lands his father once lost.
