1-Laertes
He is revengeful because he vowed not only to revenge his father’s death but his sister’s death. He is sad because when he arrived from France his sister eyed him as a stranger.
2-Ophelia
She is unhappy because her father died and because of her father’s death she lost reason and understanding.
3-King Claudius
He is uncourageous because he encourages the determination of Laertes to avenge his father’s death and Ophelia’s madness.
4-The King and Queen
They are kind because when Ophelia died they followed Laertes to offer him their sympathy and comfort.
