1. The human eye: it is the most important equipment for observation. It is used to observe large organisms.
2. Hand lens: it is used to increase the size (magnify) of small organisms and make details clear.
3. Binoculars: it is used to observe far away organisms like birds.
4. Petri dish: it is a small dish in which organisms can be placed for observation.
5. Tongs: they are used to grasp or hold organisms which cannot be held with hands.
6. Forceps: it is used to hold organisms that are preserved in liquids
7. Microscope: it is equipment used to observe very tiny organisms that cannot be seen with the naked eyes. There are two types of microscopes namely; the light microscope and the electron microscope.

The microscope
