Chapter 4: Countable and uncountable nouns

2. Uncountable nouns

They are nouns we cannot count. The singular form can only be formed by using measuring units, example: rice, beans, water, tea, rain, news. Uncountable nouns can be made countable, example: a bag of rice, a glass of water, a packet of biscuit, a cup of tea, a trip of sand.
