Chapter 2: Negative form of a verb

2. Ordinary verbs

To form the negative of ordinary verbs, we use “do”, “does” + “not” + verb. Example: (I, you, we, they) do not eat, he/she/it does not eat.

I speak English-I do not speak English, they play football- they do no play football, she speaks English-she does not speak English
