The two types of marriage commonly practiced in Cameroon are monogamy and polygamy.
- Monogamy:
This is a type of marriage where a man gets married to only one unique woman. This is a Christian model of “one man one woman” advocated by st. Augustine.
- Polygamy:
Here a man gets married to two or more women. This type of marriage is commonly practiced by muslims.
