The geographical grid: location

The geographical grids are lines that cross each other at right angles on the map or globe. The different lines that form the grid system are called latitudes and longitudes.

  1. Longitudes: these are the imaginary lines that run from the North to the South Pole of the earth. They are also called meridian.
