- Political Expectations: Politicians encourage tribal sentiments among their tribe men for their selfish interest.
- Greed: Leaders in Africa have always given undue social and economic advantages to their tribe men.
- Geographical Situations: This is a cause in that, they consider themselves nearness to national resources or center of power and as such have that privilege to discriminate.
