  1. SMOKING:  introduction cigatte smokes contains nicotine, tar, CO2, CO these substances are very dangerous to human health and can harm the body in the following ways

EFFECTS OF SMOKING

  • Nicotine cause the heart to beat faster and it raise blood pressure
  • It makes the smoker to become tensed and nervous
  • Smokers hardly give-up smoking easily due to nicotine that make them addicted
  • Nicotine makes blood vessel to become narrow as such making the blood stickiy and causing blood clothing
  • CO2 combine with haemoglobin to form carboxy haemoglobin and reaction is reversible and this parent oxygen reaction is reversible and this parent oxygen from combining with haemoglobin and hence the is of shortage of oxygen in tissues
  • Tar causes cancer of the lips, throat lungs
  • Tobacco paralises cilia leading to chronic bronchitis
  • Smoke poisons and causes inflimation of the bronchial membrane and mucus secretion, leading to increase or persistence caughting
  • Smoking reduces sensitivity of the test on the tongue leading to lost of appetite
  • Smoking lead to abnormal growth of babies in pregnant or premature delivery or still birth
  • Prolong smoking leads gives wrinkles on the body of the smoker looks older than it age
