1.6 LAWS OF THOUGHT

What is a law of thought? A law of thought is a necessary principle which is at the basis of reasoning. No reasoning can proceed without these logical principles which are related to deductive reasoning. There are basically three law of thought.

  • The principles of identity
  • The principle of excluded middle
  • The principles of contradiction
  • The principle of sufficient reason
  • The principle of causality
  • The principle of finality
