REASON FOR MBIDA RISE AND AS PRIME MINISTER

•Liberty won majority in the 1956 election he is strong catholic background gain French support than Ahidjo arrival who was Muslim.

•He came from the southern part of French Cameroon were the U.P.C were very strong he was therefore appointed to neutralise the U.P.C

•He was able to convince the UC led by Ahidjo and others to join the coalition government to head by him.

•His strong intellectual background and his charisma enable him to gain more parliamentary support than Ahidjo who his director in south called petit.
