Preparation of the territory towards self-government leading to political and constitutional developments.
Periodic visits of the UN missions in 1949, 1952, 1955 AND 1958.
Authorized the formation of many pressure Groups and parties. Such as UPC, BDC. UC, DC, GANC, etc. and that raised awareness towards independence.
Authorized the operation of Trade Unions. The USCC formed in 1944, helped to improve working conditions.
The territory was granted internal self-government in May 1957, with the passing of loi cadre in June 1957. Mbida Marie formed the first government.
Appointment of Cameroonians as administrative officers in the territory.
Decline in discrimination in the territory in the territory between citizen and subjects.
Decline in forced labour, especially prestation.
Improvement of transport
