HOW AHIDJO BECAME PRIME MINISTER IN 1958
  • Ahidjo favour the evolution approach toward independence.
  • He was the leader of the young Muslim movement in the north.
  • He establishes understanding between the northern and southern part of Cameroon
  • Ahidjo secure a seat in AICAM in 1947 and was elected in to the ALCAM IN 1952
  • Ahidjo was member of the last government; He serve as nice prime minister and minister of interior
  • In February 1958 Ahidjo reduce support from Mbida coalition alongside the UC minister who equally resign or also resign.
  • Ahidjo organise the northern toward cessation to joint Tchad which frightened the southern
  • The resignation of Mbida as prime minister in February in 1958 opened the way for Ahidjo to became prime minister in 1958.
