Economic Notions

Production

            It is the changing of natural products with the arm of satisfying human wants. It can also be defined as the creation of utilities so as to satisfy human wants. Production is divided into 3 main groups.

2) Primary Production

            It is the production of raw material from their natural source for example fishing, agriculture or farming.

3) Secondary Production

            This involve the transformation of raw materials into semi-finished or finish goods for comsumption for example the transformation of cocoa to chocolate, cotton to cloth.

4) Tertiary Production

            This are the services rendered to the consumers inorder to satisfy their needs. These services are both commercial and Personal.

Commercial services include banking, retailing etc.

Personal Services include; teaching, doctors, layers.
