CHARACTERISTIC OF ELECTIONS IN CAMEROON

• Elections are pluralistic and take place by secrete ballots
• Election leave hope for citizen to exercise their power and to decide who rules them
• Election in Cameroon are organized by ELECAM who was created through a presidential degree in December 2003.
• The supreme court acts as the constitutional court.
• Elections take place on a date that is approuved by the president which could be on a Sunday or on a public holiday.
• Electorate must be of  a Cameroonian nationality and must have registered for the election.
