MINERAL ELEMENT

Minerals are important constituents of our body that makes up our teeeths and bones. They are also found in the muscles.

A central minerals are required in large quantities include: Calcium, phosphorus,potassium, sodium, chlorine, Magnesium and sulphur.Those required in smaller quantities are called trace element.They include: Iron, Iodine, Flourine etc

WATER

Water is a solvent which is colourless,odourless,tastless which ot contain hydrogen and oxygen an it dissolve all solution.

  • Water helps to balance the salt contain of the body
  • Water also help to carry away waste product of metabolism in urine.
  • It also help in digestion and to pull down the body temperature in living organism through sweating and transpiration.
  • Defficiency of water led to dehydration.

ROUGHAGE or DIETRY FIBRES

This is mainly digestable cellulose from cell wall or plant roughage is gotten mostly from food in a diet. Roughage is an important source of vitamin and minerals.

It reduces the amount of cholesterol in the body.
