Pour conjuguer un verbe au present perfect tense, on conjugue l’auxiliaire avoir « to have » au present simple et l’on le place avant le participe passé du verbe à conjuguer.

NB :
- Le terme « ed » désigne le participe passé du verbe à conjuguer.
- L’indicateur du present perfect tense est : since, yet, ever, already, just
- Le present perfect s’intéresse au résultat de l’action décrit, ou encore il permet de décrit un fait tel que accomplit. Ex : I have cleaned my room (j’ai nettoyé ma chamber)
La valeur d’emploi du present perfect tense
On emploie ce temps pour :
- Exprimer des actions passées dont les conséquences s’observent encore dans le présent. Ex : she has broken her hand. (elle s’est cassée le bras)
- Exprimer des actions commencées dans le passé mais qui continuent dans le présent.
Ex: I have lived in England since 1995. (Je vis en Angleterre depuis 1995)
